This study explores the structural harmony between word and meaning in esoteric Qur’anic exegesis and the ghazals of Hafez. It argues that both traditions reflect a shared sensitivity to the intrinsic relationship between linguistic form and spiritual content. Through close textual analysis, the paper examines how semantic depth, ambiguity, and rhetorical balance function as vehicles for inner meaning. In esoteric interpretation, words are seen as symbols pointing beyond their literal sense, while in Hafez’s poetry, linguistic precision and metaphorical richness evoke profound spiritual insights. The study demonstrates that this harmony reflects a broader Islamic aesthetic in which language is understood as a sacred medium capable of conveying multiple layers of meaning. By comparing exegetical and poetic practices, the research highlights the convergence of scriptural interpretation and literary creativity in Persian-Islamic culture..
