This study examines the concept of revelation (waḥy) as presented in contemporary research articles published in Islamic academic journals. Revelation occupies a central position in Islamic thought as the primary means through which divine guidance is communicated to humanity. The research undertakes a comparative and analytical review of traditional Islamic perspectives, modern Muslim scholarly interpretations, orientalist viewpoints, and contemporary philosophical, psychological, and scientific approaches to revelation. By critically engaging with classical Qur’ānic exegesis, Hadith literature, and modern academic discourse, the study highlights the enduring theological foundations of waḥy while addressing contemporary intellectual challenges. The analysis further explores the relationship between reason and revelation, metaphysical dimensions of divine communication, and interfaith perspectives from Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. The findings demonstrate that despite diverse interpretative frameworks, revelation in Islam remains a coherent, divinely grounded, and comprehensive source of moral, spiritual, and intellectual guidance, retaining its relevance in modern scholarly and societal contexts.
