Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd was an Egyptian author. He is known for his mission of Quran’s hermeneutic, which challenged mainstream views. His views about Quran and revelation are new. He believes that Quran is the outcome of prophet’s (PBUH) discourse with the contemporary people. He says Quran is the collection of narrations interpreted by its narrator. Abu Zayd further states that Quran consists of contradictory orders and sharia laws and to solve them we need to describe Quran as the collection of dialogues. On the basis of such views, Quran no more consists everlasting teaching for all human beings. His serious objections on Quran need to express one by one. In this research paper, we will criticize Abu Zayd’s views after dealing with his theories along with arguments.
