Abstract

Humor has a sense of correction and sympathy, while satire should contain anger, cruelty, resentment and correction as well as Humor. There is bitterness in satire, while there is tenderness in humor.   Although there is a difference between humor and satire, there is a subtle line them, which brings them together and also creates differences between them. In the prose part of Urdu literature, it started with narrative (Dastan). When a person faces the bitterness of life than humor and satire give a new way of living to a person. Sometimes the production of hope is also done through humor and satire. The elements of humor include the creator, personality, atmosphere, sense of humor, contrast and comparison, irony concession of words, distortion, etc.
